Nothingness

What an odd sweetness there is
In feeling nothing.
The insanity of love,
Cannot harm you.
And the piercing of heartbreak,
Cannot kill you.

Glazed eyes
Behind which
Memories pass by...

Far away spaces
My mind sometimes, hides into
Dreaming from afar
How perfect, reality could be.

She isn't beautiful

She couldn't believe when people called her beautiful
Could they see what she saw?

The darkness that hid behind her eyes
If only she could hide away, every time she was hurt
Instead of being the stoic expected of her

Moments of love and happiness, spiral her to ecstasy
But only to be pushed back into a bottomless pit
Falling.....falling.....

Did others know that physical pain is more enduring than the pain she felt inside?
If only she could cut herself for every hurt endured
Scars is all you would see
And then you would know
Why she doesn't see herself as beautiful
